Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park
If you don’t fancy a long drive, Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park is just a 10-minute drive from Perth and offers spectacular views down over Perth and the River Tay.
From the Quarry Car Park, head towards Corsie Hill Viewpoint and follow the track into the woodland. Stay on the same track until you reach Kinnoull Hill, where you will take in spectacular views of the River Tay. To your left, you’ll see Kinnoull Hill Tower, which is a great place to stop for a quick rest stop before making your way back to the car park.

You can park at Quarry Car Park or there’s several free spaces located on Corsie Hill Road (close to Corsie Hill Viewpoint).

Pitmedden Forest
Pitmedden Forest is set in 1,344 acres of woodland and is situated on the Perthshire/Fife border. Whether you’re looking for a nature trail for a short stroll or some fast single track downhill routes where you can take the mountain bike.
There’s a wide range of wild plants to discover as well as plenty of nature to drink in, from buzzards to rabbits.

Lindores Loch
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle to explore some natural beauty, Lindores Loch is just 15 miles from Perth, but offers a true solace away from day-to-day life.
The walk itself is only 6.5 miles so it is ideal for most abilities and the terrain is relatively flat.

There’s spaces to park between the villages of Grange of Lindores and Lindores where the bridge goes over the railway lines.

Tyndall Bruce Monument
If you’re looking for a short walk, Tyndall Bruce Monument is walk is just 2.8km and once you reach the monument, there’s fantastic views out across the rolling countryside.

Where to park
There’s two car parks close by; Maspie Den Car Park and Forest of Falkland Gateway Car Park. If you want to start further south, you can park at Craigmead Car Park & Picnic Area to enjoy the space for lunch before you set off.
